In 2020 the ECTA began partnering with the United States Tennis Association’s NJTL Foundation as well as other municipalities to provide low-cost tennis instruction to middle school youth ages 11-14.
We provide youth a chance to experience being on a team and practicing leadership skills.
Our goal is to increase access to this lifetime sport while building confidence and providing physical activity outdoors while also helping youth expand their social network
Our program culminates with a jamboree finale where players represent their school and compete with fun games and food.
Our coaches are trained and love introducing this amazing sport to youth. *All coaches are screened and have a background check.
Kids who play tennis:
- Are less likely to binge drink and smoke.
- Are less likely to use drugs and get into trouble.
- Are less likely to be overweight and at-risk for life-long health issues.
- Learn about themselves and the etiquette of competition.
- Can pick up competitive skills that will last them a lifetime.
